It's late Saturday night and after the week I've had, a relaxing night of sipping tea, reading Nylon, and blogging, is just what the doctor ordered. You know that week that seems to never end? That was this week for moi. On a better note, here are a few of some of current fav's in mani trends...

Summer is on its way. I'm positive. It has to be... right?! Oh these rainy days sure to get a girl down. In the spirit of the coming beach filled days, sun covered skies, and oh those cute beach boys, I've put together a few nautical themed manis. I spent a solid eight to ten minutes thinking of crafty ways to try and tie together 'nautical' and 'naughty', but there really isn't anything all that bad about sailor stripes and boat anchors... 

This is one of my favourites.

The day of your last University final is quite honestly, a feeling that words cannot explain. Which is particularly shocking for this chick, who was nick named Chatty-Kathy by her, get this, grade three teacher. What the hell could an eight year possibly have to gab about?! 
Anyways, I went on Polyvore and pieced together the outfit that I will be wearing on this fine Wednesday in April. It's still a bit breezy out at night, so pants are a must (for now!). I saw a photo of Rihanna wearing light coloured denim jeans, a dark denim top and matching bustier and was surprised to find that my reaction was, Ew why in God's name is she wearing the 'Canadian Tuxedo', but rather, Damn... I needs to get me a denim top! 
I was further surprised to find that I actually had a verrrry cute light denim top that I used to wear as a beach cover up. Gotta give me credit for versatility. So below is an outfit fav of mine. A sexy twist on the once dated look. 


*Side Note: I wear my top with the sleeves neatly rolled, and the bottom tied at the waist. Accents the waist and even shows a little skin when stretching up to kiss your man. Double Win. *

I'm a very strong believer in the whole 'Rewards System' approach to well, anything. Oh you washed my car, little sister? Thanks, here's a ten. What's that? It's my turn to walk le dog? How about you walk him, and I'll cook dinner (that one is actually a double win for me because I can make sure it's a veg-friendly meal!). Anyways, getting to point; I totally and completely kicked my Spanish Final's ass. And when one completes such a difficult task, one deserves a reward, right? 

And so I headed over to my local Shoppers Drug Mart and picked out a few Spring colours!

I won't lie, this one went on really quite terribly. It did that thing where it seems to pull the polish from the coat below and make empty little gaps. 

This is with about 3 coats plus a top coat.

I will never be a hand model....

Girls pick flowers out of their mess of wavy tresses. Guitarists and drummers alike scramble for their skinny jeans. Cigarette butts and beer cans cover the lush grassy grounds. 

The music slowly starts to fade, and the sound of

 thousands of singing youths begins to diminish.

black is back

I didn't think my boss would appreciate some decked out 4-20 inspired nails at work on Sunday, so I decided to paint a quick coat of black on top of the already dark Rasta mani from Friday. I had to share this colour because it probably the BEST black I have ever come across. It isn't soo deep and deadly that it comes off goth-like, and there's just a tiniest hint of a metallic silver sparkle-shine to it. It dries relatively quickly, and the brush is easy to use. Revlon did quite well this bold black. 

I'm quite the photographer, can't you tell...?

I also decided to include the top coat that I am in LOVE with! I've been using this one for about a year now, and it never let's me down. Quick dry, perfect finish, and a decent price! 

Once again, Revlon nails it. Pun intended.
