nailed it

I'd like to say that I have this fabulous excuse for my absence these past few weeks, however, pigging out on Cheezies and Pepsi while watching back-to-back episodes of True Blood season 4 is neither glamorous, nor healthy. In other more fascinating news, I did have quite the time with my new Christmas purchases! So much fun in fact, that I may have to expand The Shelf.
Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever posted about my little baby! Oh, are you in for a treat. The Shelf is where passion meets obsession, where beauty meets perfection.
I'll share on the next post, promise!
Anyways, I thought I'd put together a little post about what exactly I've been doing lately. So here is a little homage to my buried in bed days, filled with Nylon mag, pretty polishes, and the lustful men of True Blood.
Cheers, dolls.

I just had to share my attempt at stiletto nails! It's too bad only three nails actually grow in like this...

In true True Blood fashion, this was a vamp inspired mani.

Speaking of….

Revlon Downtown

Sinful Colors Pink Glitter

So sad.. two nails broke right before Christmas.
Love the colour though!

OPI Skyfall Tomorrow Never Dies

OPI Skyfall On Her Majesty's Secret Service

I posted two photos of this colour because it looks so different when the lighting changes.
It's so gorgeous! They did an amazing job with this collection.

New Years Eve 2013 -
Sephora Holiday 2013 Pack (3)
Base - Disco Lane
Top Glitter - Soho Street
Without a doubt my all time favourite New Years mani ever.
Sadly, this little finger is the only one that
survived the next day…Hence the solo shot.

Christmas present from the sister. It's quite fantastic.
Nicole by OPI - Kardashian Kollection Kendall on the Catwalk
I actually use the Skyfall deep blue (as seen above Tomorrow Never Dies) as a base coat, that way the sparkles really pop.

And finally, the mani I completed last night. I'm in love with the colour in this light. It's from the new Selena Gomez for Nicole by OPI collection, and it's simply named Selena.
Two coats of the pink colour, then I set it with a basic OPI top coat (I find this top coat a bit thin and sometime runny, so it doesn't come out overly
shiny and clear and take away from the colour underneath). Once it was completely dry, I used the Nail Dress by Kiss…
I'll have a full post on how to properly apply these without accidentally ruining every nail you have…. Trust me, it happens.

That's all for tonight, chicas.
love xo
