My apologies for not posting in a week :S I meant so grab my laptop soo many times and just start typing away, but it seemed as though my mind and my body were in two separate worlds this week. Being a full time working girl really kicks the crap outta me! I guess I'm more of a 'spa-and-luncheon-with-the-gals' type of person. Oh well  :)  

So in the spirit of this ever-so-lovely weather, I figured a turquoise themed array of designs and polishes would add a much needed splash of colour to kick start this summer. Enjoy!

What. A. Weekend.

In a nutshell, I learned that; A) Vodka is not my friend, B) When one thinks a particular mixed drink tastes like fruit punch, one must not drink ALL of said drink, and C) I am the world's worst decision maker. 

Losing my purse, my keys, ID and some cash, I can handle. It's a regular occurrence for this scatter brained girl. But potentially losing a guy I seriously cared about... that's something I can't replace with a trip to the bank or DMV. 

Usually I say, 'get messy' and mean it in best possible way. Do something crazy, something wild and outrageous. It can be as minor as cutting off those long locks that have been weighing you down, or buying a pair of high waisted jeans that make that booty look fantastic. It could mean taking a spur of the moment road trip with some friends to, God knows where. Just do it. Do it with some conviction, and rock the hell out of it. 

I realized lately I haven't been taking my own advice. I'm just making a mess. I'm not doing what I want to do, I'm just... doing. This may not make a whole lot of sense, it's very rare that my seemingly endless rambling stories actually make sense. But some things you just need to get off your chest, you know? 

So instead of saying my usual little line, I'm just going to leave it at that. 

Because sometimes, even for an aspiring journalist, there just aren't the right words.

Summer is on its way. I'm positive. It has to be... right?! Oh these rainy days sure to get a girl down. In the spirit of the coming beach filled days, sun covered skies, and oh those cute beach boys, I've put together a few nautical themed manis. I spent a solid eight to ten minutes thinking of crafty ways to try and tie together 'nautical' and 'naughty', but there really isn't anything all that bad about sailor stripes and boat anchors...

The day of your last University final is quite honestly, a feeling that words cannot explain. Which is particularly shocking for this chick, who was nick named Chatty-Kathy by her, get this, grade three teacher. What the hell could an eight year possibly have to gab about?! 
Anyways, I went on Polyvore and pieced together the outfit that I will be wearing on this fine Wednesday in April. It's still a bit breezy out at night, so pants are a must (for now!). I saw a photo of Rihanna wearing light coloured denim jeans, a dark denim top and matching bustier and was surprised to find that my reaction was, Ew why in God's name is she wearing the 'Canadian Tuxedo', but rather, Damn... I needs to get me a denim top! 
I was further surprised to find that I actually had a verrrry cute light denim top that I used to wear as a beach cover up. Gotta give me credit for versatility. So below is an outfit fav of mine. A sexy twist on the once dated look. 


*Side Note: I wear my top with the sleeves neatly rolled, and the bottom tied at the waist. Accents the waist and even shows a little skin when stretching up to kiss your man. Double Win. *
